Europe: Online platforms should remove terrorist content in one hour

It seems balanced, although not trivial, but undoubtedly important! — The Civil Liberties committee of the European Parliament confirmed this week the proposal adopted by the European Parliament last April. The proposal requires Internet companies to remove terrorist content in one hour when told to do so by the competent authority. Internet platforms will not be obliged to monitor the content they upload or obliged to apply automatic filters. The expression of controversial views on sensitive political questions should not be considered terrorist content.
